Schema markup validator
Paste the JSON-LD you wrote and check it before it goes live: syntax, @context and @type, dates, URLs, leftover placeholders, and the fields Google requires for rich results like Article, Product, FAQ and Breadcrumb.
What gets checked
- Whether the JSON parses at all. Google ignores a block with a syntax error, such as a trailing comma or smart quotes.
- A
@contextof schema.org and a@typeon every item, including items inside@graph. - Dates in ISO 8601 format, such as
2026-10-06T09:00:00+02:00, and full URLs for images, logos and links. - Fields Google requires or recommends for each rich result type, and placeholders like TODO that were never filled in.
Eligible does not guarantee a rich result: Google decides per search. FAQ results are only shown for well-known government and health sites, and How-to results were retired in 2023.
Questions
Does this replace Google’s Rich Results Test?
It catches the same common mistakes before you publish, without a live URL. After publishing, Google Search Console shows how Google actually read your structured data.
Which types are checked for rich results?
Article (and news and blog posts), Product, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Organization (and its subtypes), LocalBusiness, Recipe, Event, VideoObject and WebSite.
